You can order prescriptions

• Via online services systmonline or the NHS app which links to your medical record. You can request a systmonline username and password 
• at reception at Gildersome Health centre . You then need to link this to your app on your smartphone or other device after downloading the NHS app

• In writing via your nominated pharmacy by dropping a request slip 

• In writing via Gildersome Health Centre by dropping a request slip in the outer post box or the one located in reception 

Repeat Prescriptions

Requests for repeat prescriptions should be submitted on the repeat medication slip and given at least 48 hours notice. Please note that any requests received on a Friday will not be ready for collection until after 12.00pm the following Tuesday. You will need to check with your nominated pharmacy what their dispensing times are.

On-line Repeat Prescriptions requests

We are now offering an on-line service for patients to request repeat prescriptions. Please call in to the surgery with photographic identification to register for the service. You will then be directed to:

Electronic Prescribing

We can now prescribe prescriptions electronically. Just call in to your preferred Pharmacy and sign up for the service. Once you have a nominated Pharmacy we can send them the prescription electronically, ready for collection.

Prescriptions Charges and Exemptions

Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs).

The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines.  Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.

Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
